Meet the Bridal Party
Colleen Gosen, Maid of Honor
Sister
Although some have confused Colleen and Katie for each other, these sisters would argue they are just doppelgangers. Be it a wedding or simply a wardrobe question, Colleen's fashion expertise is regularly utilized in the Gosen family. During her leisure time, Colleen can be found tailgating at a country concert, walking her pup, Sadie, around the streets of Pacific Beach, or cozying up with a glass of wine and the latest teen romance novel.

Shawna Fehrman, Matron of Honor
College Friend
Shawna loves her Rocky Mountain roots, but she has also established herself on both U.S. coasts (San Diego, CA and most recently New Haven, CT). As a true kindred spirit with the bride, Shawna loves yoga, beer, and a good camping trip. But in her most spare moments, Shawna can be caught legally streaming old, classic films from Youtube. As her friendship with the bride and groom also began in El Salvador, Shawna serves as a great wedding day contact for fun stories about the couple.
Claire Gosen
Sister
As one of the University of San Diego's (USD) most recent alumni, Claire recently left America's Finest City for America's Weird(est) City....Portland! But growing up with 3 sisters has well prepared Claire for sharing space with seven roommates in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC). As Claire continues to transition from a life of flip-flops to rain boots, she is sure to keep her blunt humor and love of nature with her.

Erin Gosen
Sister
Although the saying goes that “three's a charm”, the Gosen family would strongly beg to differ. Erin immediately surprised Katie as the all-time best birthday present when she arrived on the same birth date as her eldest sister. She now finds herself as a USD freshman, building new friendships, attempting to navigate her way around Mission Beach, and wondering how many lattes and acai bowls she can buy with her campus dining dollars.
Dana Flower
Childhood Friend
Inspired by her own adventurous spirit (and sometimes Pinterest), Dana has a knack for uncovering new and creative pursuits. Most recently, Dana has mastered the Pinterest mug cake, scaled to the top of Yosemite’s Half Dome, and completed 2 Tough Mudders. Despite these impressive accomplishments, Dana still has one fear not to be named....but we'll describe it as the straight down water slides at Sea World's Aquatica waterpark. Will 2015 be Dana's year?!

Alix Giroux
Childhood Friend
In her earliest Poway days, Alix could be found rollerblading or playing in the creek while many would often mistake her for a 5th Gosen Girl. These days Alix resides in “The City” (aka San Francisco). After just one of the Giants’ three World Series championships, Alix had swiftly tossed her Padres hat for Giants gear. Yet her frequent flyer miles support that San Diego still holds a special place in her heart.
Paula Morreale
College Friend/Current Housemate
As the coordinating lead with USD's Office of Sustainability, some have questioned whether walking is actually more sustainable than Paula’s passion for golf carting through campus. Yet we’ll trust Paula's tactics and opinions as she's also known for being an early adopter of San Diego's hip, new restaurants and bars. To get Paula's attention at the wedding, don’t be bashful hollering out one of her favorite slogans, “Be Blue, Go Green!”

Regan Rowson
Childhood Friend
After graduating as a Northern Arizona Lumberjack, Regan’s love for Flagstaff, AZ made the city home. She has since achieved the title of World’s Best Mom with her twins, but this nurse can also be seen exchanging her scrubs for camo as she hunts for the family’s next cookout (elk burgers are a favorite). If you request politely, you may just be lucky enough to see Regan and her husband show off their mad two-stepping skills at the reception.
And now, the starting lineup for the Groom Squad!
Paul "Huey" Hiu, Point Guard/Best Man
Uni Friend
Reigning from the Country of Oz, Huey's netball and rugby instincts made him a top recruit out of Uni. Unfortunately for many, his NBA career ended before beginning due to an ACL tear, sufferred during a sight-seeing "jumping pic" in front of the Statue of Liberty. But don't you worry, his chiropractic gig may still earn him a spot on the medical staff of the Sacramento Kings.
NBA player comparison: Patty Mills

Tyler Van Der Schaaf, Shooting Guard
College Friend
What Tyler lacks in muscle, he makes up in jump shooting. Following his playing days, Tyler strongly believes his life path is destined for 1 of 2 outcomes: a fisherman or a cowboy. However, he is most giddy to brainstorm about how he will somehow incorporate both of these looks into his reception attire. If you're persuasive in conversations with Tyler, you may just be lucky enough for him to share his teachings of the perfect cast or his tricks to the use of powerbait.
NBA player comparison: Channing Frye
Eric Roberson, Small Forward
High School/College Friend
When not in the lineup, Eric enjoys dim lit living rooms, exploring a new glass of wine, and the latest edition of The Economist. But don't let his intellect intimidate you at the wedding -Eric has long been known as a Dance Machine. Start singing a little Bon Jovi "Shot Through the Heart" and he'll dance all night!
NBA player compsrison: Metta World Peace

Max Sumnicht, Power Forward
High School Friend
Previously discerning through 2 difficult Decisions (neither televised), Max has already taken his talents to both Berkeley, CA and Denver, CO. But the excitement is already bubbling for his San Diego fans as the wedding marks another homecoming for this local tennis legend. As he studies to be a pharmacist, Max's final semester will be heavy on team chemistry.
NBA player comparison: Joakim Noah
Brenden Magnino, Center
College Friend
A fan favorite originating from area code 916, the bright lights of SoCal Showtime were enough to entice Brenden to move south. The skills of this "Giants Fanatic" also shine beyond the basketball court as Brenden remains the USD Club Baseball record holder for career singles. His current aspirations include gathering petition signatures to rightfully obtain the title of World's Best Beard (not pictured).
